CTC Leadership Development Association, formerly The ASSOCIATION of Washington Community and Technical College Administrators and Exempt Staff,  is the professional development organization for administrative and exempt/professional employees of community and technical colleges in Washington state. Participation is not restricted to only administrative and exempt staff.  All community and technical college employees are encouraged to attend!  CTC Leadership Development Association offers conferences,  leadership, scholarship and award opportunities. Three conferences a year focus on timely issues for all levels and divisions of community and technical colleges leaders and are held at various locations around the state. Awards are presented at conferences to outstanding individuals in the community and technical college system. Scholarships are offered to encourage careers in the community and technical college system. Scholarships are available for students and for current employees. Leading from the Middle is a series of four, diagnosis day-long modules focusing on broad topics – Leadership, Human Resources, Budget and Finance, and Understanding the State Board and the Legislative process. Annually, a four day Leading from the Middle retreat is held. This program is offered  around the state and is intended to enhance leadership skills.

Administrators and exempt/professional and other staff from member colleges may attend CTCLDA conferences, participate in the scholarship program and nominate and receive awards.  Membership dues are paid annually by the college and allows employees to attend conferences at a reduced rate.
